Graduate program in Information and Communication Technologies
UniTN - SSSA

About the Program

University of Trento and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa offer an international joint programme in Information and Communication Technologies, which represents a high quality path to higher education in Telecommunications Engineering, with strong emphasis on networking. Courses are given by top-level international professors. Students completing the program will obtain the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering (Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria delle Telecomunicazioni) from University of Trento and the Master of Engineering in Computer Network Engineering (Diploma di Formazione alla Ricerca in Computer Network Engineering) from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.

The purpose of the program is to prepare motivated and skilled students to work in the field of research and innovation, able to obtain positions in R&D divisions in companies or research centers, to fruitfully continue education within a Ph.D. program (both schools have a high-level international doctorate school), and to produce scientific innovation at an international dimension.

Participation to the programme requires motivated students to maintain a high level education profile, both in terms of exam marks and time to complete the study plan. Under such constraints, students are enabled to actively experience the college life in both institutions, being required to attend one year at University of Trento and the other at Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa. Moreover, they are integrated in the research activities at both institutions. Final thesis will be developed under joint supervision of one advisor from each institution.

Student requirements

To successfully complete the programme, all students must comply with the following special rules:

  • The student must complete all exams in due time;
  • The student must passed every exam with a mark not less than 24/30;
  • The student must achieve an average mark at the end of every year no less than 27/30.
